I’m still learning how to take pics of fireworks and work with ambient light. I’m overall pleased except for needing a remote shutter release for my camera. The wobble in the light streaks is kind of a cool effect, but some clear images would have been nice.

Yeh, I’ve gone a little far afield from the stated intent of this blog, but it’s cool that I can update it from so many different places automatically and being a gizmo/techno geek…well, I just have to play with cool stuff.
We’ve been saying for a long time that some church here on The Island needs to step up and start hosting a celebration for the community. Churches such as Canvas, Journey and Celebration have done great events in Orange Park, but the 32003 needed some love. Kudos to Dennis Bratton, et al for hitting a home run! It seems that Dennis and crew have found a great way to implement Simple Church. Celebrating Independence day is a simple idea, but doing it with excellence takes work and the folks at CCFI did it up with excellence.
And lest you think that Dennis sits in an ivory throne and dictates to others I ran in to him running out at the last minute to pick up more ice at Walmart. There he was in a t-shirt loading bags of ice with the guys.
